Manufacturing
Our ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 certified manufacturing plants in Lidköping, in Sweden, and Aš in the Czech Republic produce containers in a range of colours, shapes, designs and materials. The product range extends from small containers found on supermarket shelves to our latest development, an innovative, recyclable family of large ‘one way’ PET kegs and fittings for beer and other beverages.
We manufacture both preforms and finished containers for a wide variety of customers across Europe.
Petainer was one of the first companies to produce PET packaging from recycled material and we are considered to be one of the leading lights in the industry in our use of recyclate.
We have substantial new product development and R&D resources, including certified laboratories, and we work with leading institutions and suppliers on new developments in areas such as materials, blends and barrier technologies.
Consultancy
Our focus on sustainable technologies and material efficiency is coupled with expertise in packaging innovation and design and experience in taking new ideas from concept through to production. We continually invest in research and development to ensure that we provide cutting-edge advice and support.
Our consultancy services extend beyond technical assistance to include design advice based on our own international market research into consumer behaviour and attitudes to packaging.
We undertake complete ‘packaging audits’ for brand owners, identifying opportunities to introduce new packaging concepts. We have helped major brands change to PET packaging from other materials in order to obtain functional, cost and sales benefits.
We use our market knowledge to design containers that have real impact yet are cost-effective to manufacture based on our own daily production experience.
Petainer’s consultancy services therefore cover all aspects of PET packaging. We can provide a ‘turnkey’ service for new packaging design from concept to manufacturing.
Our highly experienced engineering and logistics teams work with customers to assess requirements and advise on the most cost-effective implementation of new packaging designs and concepts.
Petainer can provide technical support to set up and manage the conversion process as required.
We offer technical support contracts which include access to the latest product innovations, quality systems and operating procedures as Petainer develops new products and systems. We can also provide an annual audit of customers’ container production operations and quality systems, highlighting existing or potential future problems or opportunities. In addition we are able to provide ongoing training of customers’ staff.
